Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
On October 27, Wang Tao, managing director of Huawei and director of the ICT Infrastructure Business Management Committee, delivered a keynote speech entitled "towards Ultra Wideband 5.5G" at the Global Ultra Wideband Summit Forum. He said that with the tremendous changes that will take place in households, parks, industrial Internet and other fields in 2030, UWB 5.5G is the only way to move towards a smart world, and puts forward four key tasks to accelerate industrial evolution to UWB 5.5G.
Wang Tao said that 2030 of home broadband in the smart world has moved from gigabit to 10 gigabit, and the number of home Wi-Fi access terminals has increased from the current 520 to 150,000,200. It is necessary for large and medium-sized campuses to develop N*10Gbps Wi-Fi network access, while small and micro enterprises need internal network one-stop services with large bandwidth and good Wi-Fi experience. The bandwidth demand of industrial Internet exceeds that of 10Gbps, and the latency requirement is reduced to less than 1 millisecond. At the same time, enterprises will adopt a multi-cloud strategy, which requires network routing to be adjusted dynamically and flexibly. At the same time, network capacity, green and automation have also become key development factors, and network capacity, energy efficiency and operation and maintenance efficiency will all be increased by 10 times.
"UWB 5.5G is the only way to a smart world, which needs to be promoted jointly by standards organizations, government regulators, operators, equipment manufacturers and other industry partners. Today, I would like to call on the global UWB industry to jointly innovate and develop in technology, network and ecology, work together to promote industrial prosperity and accelerate towards UWB 5.5G." Wang Tao mentioned.
There are four key tasks to be done to move towards UWB 5.5G.
First of all, we should jointly define industry standards and unify industry consensus.
In the optical industry, ETSI released a white paper on F5G Advanced in September and is taking the lead in defining the first standard version of F5.5G (Release3). Smart home applications and optical cable sensing will be gradually standardized by 2025. In the IP industry, Huawei released the Net5.5G white paper at this conference, and the industry will comprehensively enhance the ultra-wide access and end-to-end SRv6 flexible tuning capabilities of the IP network in 2023; by 2025, the industry will further enhance computing power and application awareness, and enhance network certainty and differentiation guarantee capabilities for industrial scenarios.
Second, the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain carry out end-to-end work around technological breakthroughs, product development, deployment and operation, to promote the rapid landing from standards to industries.
In the field of optical access, GPON / 10GPON / 50GPON three-mode integration, sharing the existing ODN network, support continuous smooth upgrade; FTTR (fiber to the room) solution uses the innovative C-WAN architecture to achieve room-wide stability of over gigabit, roaming switching time less than 20 milliseconds.
In the field of optical transmission, 400G wavelength division extends the available spectrum from 8THz to 12THz, the number of wavelengths is increased by 50%, and the single fiber capacity reaches 100T; pooled wavelength division innovation enables metropolitan wavelength resources to be flexibly shared among multi-ring networks, greatly reducing TCO, and supporting wavelength division to access sites.
In the field of IP, Wi-Fi7 's CO-SR and CO-OFDMA technologies achieve multi-AP (Access Point) collaboration to enhance network experience; UL OFDMA, UL MU-MIMO and other technologies improve connection reliability; APN6 and SRv6 perceive computing power and application requirements in real time, dynamically configure network connection cloud resources, and improve enterprise cloud connection efficiency; deterministic IP technology reduces traffic microbursts and reduces end-to-end jitter to less than 20 microseconds.
Third, industrial policy and target network two-wheel drive to accelerate the deployment of ultra-wideband 5.5G network.
The value of new generation and new technology can only be realized through the deployment of the existing network. Governments and regulators need to provide policy support, including national broadband strategies, optical cable deployment policies and residential construction industry standards, to accelerate the development of FTTH gigabit networks and FTTR construction. Operators need to formulate the target network architecture of 2025amp 2030, speed up the deployment of broadband networks such as FTTH and FTTR, accelerate the sinking of metro wavelength division to access sites, the transformation and upgrading of IP network to SRv6, 400G / 800G transmission and the deployment of IP network.
Fourth, industries should jointly explore new applications and promote ecological maturity.
Industry and ecology jointly take the initiative to explore, give full play to the value of 5.5G UWB connection, support potential new applications, and accelerate the maturity of industrial ecology. In the 10Gbps everywhere environment, carry out metacosmos games and real-time interactive innovation, explore new park business scenarios such as immersive office experience and robot-assisted office, as well as one-stop Wi-Fi network services for small and micro enterprises. At the same time, on the basis of deterministic experience and flexible routing network, we incubate industrial automatic control and enterprise-connected multi-cloud applications with industrial Internet enterprises.
UWB continues to develop, and intergenerational definition brings about industrial prosperity. In the past 10 years, the number of global FTTH users has increased by 790 million, the number of gigabit users in the past five years has increased by 100 million, and the number of FTTR users has increased by more than 1 million in the past year. In the field of ToB, high-quality OTN enterprise dedicated lines have reached 50,000, enterprise cloud dedicated lines have reached more than 600000, and enterprise Wi-Fi 6 hotspots have reached 27 million. In terms of network deployment, there are more than 15000 sets of 400G transmission networks, more than 15000 sets of all-optical ROADM and more than 100 IP networks of SRv6.
