According to Ji Wei.com, Weilai is developing its own lithium ferromanganese phosphate and 4680 batteries, and plans to mass-produce these two batteries. Among them, lithium ferromanganese phosphate battery will supply the sub-brand "Alps" of Xilai, which is positioned in the price range of 200000-300000 yuan, and also supports power exchange, which is expected to be put on the market in 2024; 4680 battery will be used in 800V battery pack and is expected to be used in the third generation platform (NT3) model of Weilai in 2024.

CTOnews.com has reported that Li Bin, CEO of Lailai, said in June this year that the research and development and production of new brand products launched for the mass market are progressing steadily and are expected to be launched in the second half of 2024. It is expected to be between 200000 and 300000 yuan, which will carry its own batteries and support high-voltage fast charging technology.

He said that Xilai has set up a battery-related team of more than 400 people and will launch an 800V high-voltage platform battery pack in 2024. According to reports, the above 800V high voltage battery is a 4680 battery and is planned to be installed in the model of the third generation platform (NT3).

In August, Auto said Weilai was developing its own lithium ferromanganese phosphate and 4680 batteries and planned to mass-produce them.
