Three vulnerabilities have been found in the old macOS version, and Apple has pushed security patches for users who are unable or unwilling to update to macOS 13 Ventura. The instructions on Apple's security update page describe the patch vulnerabilities as follows.

AppleMobileFileIntegrity impact applications may modify protected parts of the file system, which has been resolved by removing additional permissions. CVE-2022-42825

Ruby affecting remote users can cause the application to terminate unexpectedly or arbitrary code execution. The memory corruption problem was resolved by updating Ruby version 2.6.10. CVE-2022-28739

Sandbox sandboxie affects that applications with root privileges may be able to access private information, which has been resolved by improving data protection. CVE-2022-32862

CTOnews.com learned that there was also a calendar fix in the macOS Monterey security note. An anonymous researcher helped resolve the unknown bug Bug that was not addressed in the major fixes.

These updates are available to any Mac user who cannot update to macOS 13 Ventura and is able to run macOS Big Sur or macOS Monterey. They are installed automatically, or users can update them manually through system preferences.
