CTOnews.com, October 24 (Xinhua)-- FAW held a press conference tonight, and its first model to cooperate with BYD, the bZ3, also ushered in its global debut, which is the first car product of bZ's pure electric exclusive series.

As a model jointly developed by Toyota, BYD and FAW Toyota, the bZ3 positioning pure electric medium-sized sedan is also based on the e-TNGA architecture, with a size of 4725x1835x1475mm.

The model, equipped with TZ200-XS002 motors and lithium iron phosphate blades provided by BYD, offers high and low power models of 180kW and 135kW, with a mass of 1710 kg and 1835x1840kg respectively, 517km and 616km under CLTC conditions, and 11kWh and 12kWh at 100 km.

According to reports, bZ3 is jointly developed by BYD Toyota Electric vehicle Technology Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Toyota and BYD, and plans to carry out production and sales through FAW Toyota and its dealer network.

The bZ3 has an ultra-long wheelbase of 2880 mm, a slippery back design, a bumper, a hidden doorknob, and the hub and rear styling take full account of aerodynamics, making the vehicle's wind resistance factor up to 0.218.

CTOnews.com learned that the new car uses a newly designed "special-shaped steering wheel" and has designed a lower dashboard after a lot of field research on Chinese roads, minimizing the dead angle of sight and bringing a wider driving field of vision.

In terms of intelligence, the bZ3 interior adopts the unique Digital Island digital island design and is equipped with the latest TSS Zhixing security system, which integrates large vertical display screen, wireless charging, car-machine interconnection and other intelligent configuration and functions, and can realize the touch operation of air conditioning, audio, car window, trunk and other functions.
