According to CTOnews.com news on October 24, Hong Kong shares of Tencent Holdings fell more than 9% this afternoon, reaching their lowest level since April 2017.

As of CTOnews.com press time, Tencent Holdings fell 9.02% to 211.8 Hong Kong dollars per share, with a total market capitalization of 2.0351 trillion Hong Kong dollars (about 1.89 trillion yuan).

According to the financial report, Tencent Holdings's revenue in the first half of this year was 269.505 billion yuan, down 1% from the same period last year, while its net profit was 42.032 billion yuan, down 53% from the same period last year. As of June 30, 2022, Tencent Holdings had 110715 employees, compared with 94182 in the same period last year. It is worth noting that Tencent will report third-quarter results on November 16.

In addition, the Hang Seng Index fell 4.99% during the midday break today, and the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 6.66%. In early afternoon trading, Hong Kong technology stocks continued to fall, with Meituan down more than 12 per cent, Baidu and Alibaba down more than 10 per cent and Kuaishou down 9 per cent.
