CTOnews.com, October 24 (Xinhua)-- Today, the National Bureau of Statistics released energy production in September 2022.

The National Bureau of Statistics said that in September, industrial raw coal, crude oil and natural gas production increased compared with the same period last year, while electricity production declined. Compared with August, the growth rate of raw coal and crude oil has accelerated, natural gas has slowed down, and electricity has dropped significantly.

Specifically, electricity production has dropped significantly. In September, 683 billion kilowatt hours of electricity were generated, down 0.4 percent from the same period last year, compared with an increase of 9.9 percent last month, with an average of 22.77 billion kilowatt hours per day. From January to September, 6.3 trillion kilowatt hours of electricity were generated, an increase of 2.2 per cent over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that by variety, in September, the growth rate of thermal power and wind power slowed, the decline of hydropower and nuclear power expanded, and the growth rate of solar power generation accelerated. Where:

Thermal power increased by 6.1% over the same period last year, down 8.7 percentage points from the previous month.

Wind power grew by 25.8%, 2.4 percentage points slower than the previous month.

Hydropower decreased by 30%, an increase of 19.0% over the previous month.

Nuclear power fell 2.7%, an increase of 2.1 percentage points over the previous month.

Solar power generation increased by 18.9%, 8.0 percentage points faster than last month.
