CTOnews.com, October 24 (Xinhua) during the World algorithm Congress, Nokia launched artificial Intelligence (AI) maturity assessment to help operators make better use of self-driven software solutions to reduce network congestion and improve network quality, thereby improving the user experience with new products and services.

This tool can be used to evaluate the competition of operators in different markets, guide operators to formulate and implement AI strategy, so that operators can have a clearer insight into the current situation and future of the use of AI capabilities, so as to improve network performance.

CTOnews.com learned that the evaluation is based on an 8-dimensional framework, including AI strategy, autonomous operations, and user experience, involving 67 sub-dimensions. It also provides operators with a maturity view on each dimension and can be compared with other operators.

The tool also maps five levels of automation for operators, from the earliest auxiliary automation to the most advanced zero contact, where automated, intent-driven AI capabilities can predict network failures and problems and provide network optimization decisions through closed-loop learning.

Through the cooperation between Nokia and operators in its AI transformation process, operators can clearly understand which AI solutions can benefit their network environment in the short, medium and long term, respectively. In addition, it is also to guide operators not to adopt a "wait-and-see" approach, because this is likely to be overtaken by competitors and miss the benefits of artificial intelligence.
