CTOnews.com, Oct. 24, according to Bloomberg, Mark Gurman said in the latest "Power On" newsletter that Apple's miscalculation of the iPhone 14 Plus is in favor of the iPhone 14 Pro series.

Gurman said that from the date of release, the iPhone 14 Plus with a 6.7inch screen appeared to be a miscalculation. He thought it strange that Apple offered a non-Pro iPhone of $800,900 (5792 yuan) and $900 (6516 yuan) this year.

According to reports, for users who buy iPhone by installments, the cost difference between iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro (and iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max) is about $8 per month. When users consider the new features they have acquired, it should be particularly easy to convince consumers to spend extra money this year: the Pro version has a 48MP rear camera and smart island, while the regular model is the least important update to some iPhone so far.

Given these price differences, Gurman believes that non-Pro iPhone is not attractive to many Apple consumers at all. The solution is to get Apple not to charge too much for non-Pro versions of iPhone. If the price of iPhone 14 was $699 (about 5061 yuan), he thought the lineup would be better.

In addition, Gurman said Apple may lower the price of non-Pro phones, but he thinks there is another situation that is more likely: Apple keeps those prices the same and increases the cost of high-end models.

CTOnews.com has learned that Gurman has previously said that Apple will create a bigger gap between the iPhone 15 Pro and the Pro Max, which can actually be called Ultra and sells for more than $1100 (about 7964 yuan).
