Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com October 24, Microsoft officially announced that it has officially launched Windows 11 Android subsystem WSA v1, which allows Windows 11 users to run Android applications through the Amazon App Store. Cory Hendrixson, partner Development Manager at Microsoft, recently said that this feature has officially left the Beta testing phase and is now available in 31 countries, supporting more than 50,000 applications.
Cory Hendrixson tweeted, "Windows Subsystem for Android is officially released, with 31 markets and more than 50000 apps! it's amazing how easy it is to run these apps. It feels like running a normal windows app. WAPost, Kindle Reader (on my Surface Go 3) and Metro Parkour are my favorites."
The Windows 11 Android subsystem WSA was previously open only to Windows Insider members. This new feature means that Windows 11 users don't have to rely on Android emulators, but there are still some caveats. The current WSA still does not include the following features: USB, picture-in-picture (PIP), hardware DRM, direct Bluetooth access, file transfer + backup / restore, and Android widget + quick tile.
Esper editor Mishaal Rahman also lists a detailed list of missing features, as well as roadmap features expected in the next Android 13 update.
Windows 11 Android subsystem WSA has officially left the preview version! According to the roadmap of the project, the following is:

Earlier, Microsoft announced that it would expand to 10 new countries, a total of 31. Windows users in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and other selected islands now have access to a large library of applications and games through Amazon Appstore.

CTOnews.com learned that the Windows 11 Android subsystem (Windows Subsystem for Android) includes the Linux kernel and the Android operating system based on the Android open source project (AOSP) version. This subsystem runs in the Hyper-V virtual machine, just like the Linux subsystem, it can map the runtime and API of App in the AOSP environment to the Windows graphics layer, memory buffers, input modes, physical and virtual devices, and sensors, and can run on Intel, AMD, Qualcomm CPU.
Users can find updates to download the new version of WSA in the Microsoft Windows 11 App Store, or they can download the full installation package manually.
