Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com October 23, Ericsson this week announced the third quarter of 2022 results. According to the financial report, Ericsson organic sales increased 3% year-on-year; total sales increased 21% to 68 billion Swedish kronor (43.882 billion yuan), of which Vonage contributed 2.9 billion Swedish kronor (1.871 billion yuan) since July 21.

Thanks to increased sales from the Internet business and the merger of Vonage, Ericsson's total revenue increased to 28.1 billion Swedish kronor (18.134 billion yuan), compared with 24.8 billion Swedish kronor in the same period in 2021.

During the reporting period, profit before depreciation and amortisation (EBITA) was SEK 7.6 billion (SEK 9.3 billion for the same period in 2021) and profit margin before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation was 11.2% (16.5% for the same period in 2021). Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation are mainly affected by increased technology investment, corporate unit sales expenses (mainly from the merger of Vonage) and one-time costs of SEK 500 million. EBIT was SEK 7.1 billion (SEK 8.8 billion for the same period in 2021) and EBIT margin was 10.5 per cent (15.7 per cent for the same period in 2021).

CTOnews.com learned that Ericsson said it had signed important contracts to further increase market coverage. These and early contracts will continue to increase sales in the fourth quarter and are expected to make a significant contribution in 2023.

In addition, Ericsson's net income was SEK 5.4 billion (compared with SEK 5.8 billion in the same period in 2021). Free cash flow before mergers and acquisitions was SEK 2.5 billion (compared with SEK 13 billion for the same period in 2021). The decrease in cash flow is mainly due to the accumulation of working capital. Net cash was SEK 13.4 billion as at 30 September 2022 and SEK 70.3 billion as at 30 June 2022.
