According to reports, the 244000-square-foot Mac Pro plant employs more than 500 people in a variety of positions, including electrical engineers and electronic assemblers, who make a variety of unique parts according to customer specifications.

The Austin Park will be built in several stages and ground breaking will begin in November 2019. Covering an area of 3 million square feet, it includes 12 office buildings and amenities, parking lots, a central utility factory and a nursery facility, followed by the expansion of many facilities, which is the largest Apple campus outside California. Construction of three other new buildings in the Austin campus is likely to begin in February next year, with a budget of $279 million, according to documents submitted by Apple to building permits and regulators.

Apple said at the time that the park, which would initially accommodate 5000 employees, could later grow to 15000 and is expected to open in 2022. Due to the epidemic and other reasons, Apple employees have not yet fully returned to the office, and it is still unknown when the park will open.
