Many people think that a wide angle means a wider range of view, and a telephoto is a scene that draws closer to a distance. But this is only the most intuitive performance of the two, in addition, there are many different places, only a complete grasp, can be used more flexibly.

The difference in depth of field due to the physical principle of optical imaging, the telephoto lens has a smaller depth of field, which can lead to greater emptiness. The wide-angle lens has a large depth of field, which can make the picture clearer both far and near. In general, for a zoom lens whose aperture is not constant, the best effect is the long focal end.

Your distance from them is different, resulting in a perspective visual effect.

① wide angle brings a sense of space what is the sense of space? That is, the nearby An is far away from the distant B. this is the space. When shooting with a wide-angle lens, the sense of space is very strong.

② telephoto lens brings a sense of compression. I often hear others talk about the sense of space compression (picture compression). What is compression? It is that the near An and the distant B look very close, thousands of meters apart, and the photos seem to be affixed together.

③ wide angle: the closer the object is to the lens, the bigger the object is, and the smaller the object is. This is called near, far and small. This trick is often used in landscape photography, and a lot of prospects can be found. For example, the camera is close to a flower, and in reality, a very small flower is very large in the picture.

Therefore, when taking ID photos, you cannot use a wide angle. If you are far away, you will push your arms. If you are close, the nose and mouth look very big, but the ears are very small, and the face is seriously deformed.

You can also use wide-angle to take some shocking photos, as long as the distance is close enough, and the guide wire and size contrast composition are used reasonably.

④ telephoto: a consistent and harmonious telephoto lens can make the front and rear scenes of similar size, no matter you are near or far away, as long as you can take a picture, there will not be too much change. Such photos are more peaceful and harmonious, plain and light is true.

Many beautiful backgrounds can be found by making good use of telephoto. When taking portraits, there is only a small piece of flowers in the background, which can not fill the whole picture. But if you stay away and shoot with a telephoto, you will find that the flowers can completely fill the picture.

This is the most intuitive manifestation of the difference in the range of view.

① wide-angle: take panoramic performance momentum wide-angle lens can accommodate more scenery, suitable for the performance of the scene environment, show the momentum of the photo. In general, in landscape photography, wide-angle is used a little more to shoot the vast starry sky and boundless prairie.

② telephoto: taking an orderly telephoto in a small scene will be used more in daily street photography. It can find orderly small scenes in a messy environment and unlock new compositions.
