Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

My friends often ask me: I have copied a lot of excellent works, but why the designed PPT is still very ordinary.

What is the gap between the PPT rookie and the big god?

If you have the above confusion, I think today's article will enlighten you.

To understand the design gap between the rookie and the big god, we must first understand what the big god's design is like.

Let's first look at a set of design cases:

@ from the network

@ from the network

@ from the network

@ from the network

@ from the above group of design works on the Internet, whether text-based or picture-based, it can give people a sense of pleasing quality.

Do you know where this sense of quality comes from? Is the layout novel? How's the picture? Or is it rich in details? Sell it here first.

We illustrate it through a set of design cases:

01. Xiaobai manuscript this is the excellent inspiration collected above (seller Show):

This is a typical team introduction to PPT, we will be attracted by his texture, so we will collect him into our own inspiration library.

One day by chance, the leader asked us to design a page of the team to introduce PPT. So we thought of this excellent design inspiration and began to imitate and use it for reference, after a meal of operation.

The picture we imitated is as follows (buyer show):

Please ignore the content copy and focus on the design itself.

@ Xiaobai-as you can see, the final effect of the design draft is not entirely satisfactory. (note: the reason for choosing a white background rather than the previous color is that most of the company's templates are light background.)

Do you also have the same confusion as why your imitated works are not as good as the original?

It is obvious that the content and layout are very similar, but what is the difference? Is it just because of the difference in color matching?

02. In fact, this is not the case with familiar manuscripts. Before we answer this question, let's compare the differences between the two pages in detail. First, let's take a look at the layout structure:

This is the original layout:

This is the layout of the first draft after imitation:

At this point, I think you'll find the gap.

When we learn from excellent works, we often only focus on the most conspicuous layout design, but ignore a lot of layout details, that is, your observation is not detailed enough.

In the process of imitation and reference, assuming that an excellent work is 10, you will only pay attention to some of them, that is, 6 points. Then no matter how good it is, there are only 6 points. So we should learn to pay attention to the details of the design.

In returning to our first draft design on this page, how to optimize it for better? In my opinion, we should restore the layout of the reference object as much as possible, that is, to make up for our lost structure:

@ proficient-Design manuscript after completing the small layout structure, the visual effect of the page has been greatly improved, and many friends may end at this step.

But in fact, there is still a lot of room for improvement in this work, and we need to look at it at a more detailed level.

03. If we take a closer look at the original manuscript, we will find that the original version is not only rich in layout, but also particular about the hierarchical comparison of the copy.

This is the word weight contrast of the original copy:

Even if we don't look at the content itself, we can clearly tell which part of the title and which part of the content.

The following picture shows the word weight contrast after our imitation:

Since there is no obvious distinction between font size and weight, the contrast is not obvious enough.

After finding the problem, we continue to optimize. Through the division of the copy logic, the different word weights of the title and content copy are given to get the following pages:

@ master-the design draft here changes the font to Microsoft Acer, which is more business, and has a greater distinction between thickness and thickness.

Does it come out as soon as you feel the breath?

In fact, sometimes, in addition to the layout itself, we should also pay attention to the more detailed inside. Even a small word weight problem can give a completely different visual experience.

At this point, do you think the design of this page is over? Actually, not yet.

I think you may also have found a problem, that is, the length of the relevant copywriting in the character introduction office varies (red area below):

This is a very common problem in our work, which can lead to a lack of balance in the page design, as if a piece is missing in the lower right corner.

How can this be remedied? The method is very simple, in fact, it can be solved by inserting a horizontal line below.

Master-after adding lines to the design draft, the visual area of the copy below extends to a straight line, which makes up for the lack of balance.

Design is sometimes like this, seemingly simple elements, as long as they can be used reasonably, can produce due value and solve some practical problems.

At this point, this work is basically completed, why is it basic?

04. Great manuscript because it still lacks some details on the decoration elements, we still need to further observe the reference object, in order to pursue a more exquisite texture!

By analyzing the original version, you will find that there are textured particles on the left side of the page and ink marks in the upper right corner. Although these decorative elements are small, they can enhance the quality of the page.

So, we integrate these decorating elements to get the following page:

@ Great God-of course, if there is no restriction on background color, we can also make it into a color version:

@ Great God-at this point in the design draft, a copy is really completed. Note: the above demonstration focuses on the train of thought, and the specific hierarchy is for reference only.

In retrospect, the whole copying process is actually a process of constantly enriching the details. The more carefully you observe, the higher the degree of reduction, and the better the final effect.

Finally, let's compare the original version:

At this point, I would like to start with the question: "where is the gap between rookie and big god?" We should have some feelings in our hearts.

In fact, in the final analysis, the secret of all this lies in the details. As long as you have enough control over the details, even simple content can create high-quality works.
