"God of War 5" early experience report: still a mirror to the end, there are still breakthroughs in play

Limited to the requirements of confidentiality, we can not talk about any plot and process for the time being, and the way we play can only reveal part of the beginning of the game. But even such a section with limited content can still give us a glimpse of the overall quality of Ares 5.

As a game that dates back to 4 years ago, when I started the first year of junior high school, I worried about whether I could remember the plot of the previous work and pick up the original mood. Fortunately, Ares 5 also takes this situation into account, adding an "previously on" option to the "New Game" button on the main interface, bringing the player to an official version of "Ares IV" in a few minutes.

The difference is that the battle of "God of War 5" gives me a stronger sense of rhythm.

There are more uninterruptible bully movements in monster attacks, which allows me to use shields more frequently than the brainless output of weapons.

Compared with the previous setting of switching weapons according to enemy attributes, players are more encouraged to fight with two weapons, frequently switch to make more profits, but also play more tricks.

"Ares 4" widely criticized monster skin change problem, according to my current progress has completely ceased to exist, at least so far has not encountered the skin change BOSS. When it comes to solving puzzles, Ares 5 still maintains the consistent high standard of the series.

Although I got two weapons in the early stage, there are still a lot of puzzles and rewards in the initial map that require unknown unlocking methods, waiting for players to re-explore at a later stage. Some of the collection in Ares IV, which is only related to achievement, also has substantial prop rewards in this work, which should make non-achievement players also bring up the interest of collecting them.

But unfortunately, that's all I can talk about. In addition to the steady upgrade of addition to the basic combat system, there are actually a lot of new things in the game, including new forms that completely break through the framework of Ares IV. "Ares 5" in the fight and play, it seems that there is no need to worry.

I don't know if it's because I use the standby function of PS5 too frequently, after a certain standby to open the game, the screen is dark except for the UI in the upper left corner. Reading to other progress will not solve the problem, but the operations, sounds and subtitles in the game will not return to normal until PS5 is restarted.

The other BUG is that the interactive button in the plot does not appear. Coincidentally, the plot here also told me not to act on my own, so I stood by and waited for a NPC to play an instrument, thinking that his performance would be over, and then listened silently for five minutes with the idea of "this plot is really experimental." it was only after five minutes that I woke up to solve the problem by reading the file.

Even considering that the current version is a beta, the frequency of BUG in Ares 5 is not low. It is hoped that these problems can be solved as soon as possible after the release of the patch on the first day. After all, the impact of "Black Dream" on the play experience has always been irreversible.
