CTOnews.com, October 22, Renault recently launched an advertisement mocking Tesla for not launching Semi electric trucks, while their electric trucks are already on the road.

In the ad, a worker put up a billboard for the new Tesla Semi, which read "all-Electric, Semi, the Future of trucking". Then the worker returned to his electric Renault truck and drove away whistling.

The ad also reads, "some people will only announce that some people have walked a few kilometers." At the end of the ad, "there are already more than 300 Renault electric trucks on our road."

The electric truck Renault shows in the video is its Renault truck E-Tech Master, a medium-sized electric truck that is often seen as urban distribution trucks or building materials trucks in the United States, and it is unclear whether Renault plans to launch its own electric semi-trailer in the future.

CTOnews.com learned that earlier this month, Musk tweeted that Tesla Semi Truck would start delivery on December 1 this year, and that the first customers would be Pepsi. Musk then added in the comments section: it has a 500-mile range and great driving fun. In the early morning of October 20, Tesla released the video and stressed once again that Tesla Semi plans to start delivery in December. "it will take about a year for Tesla to increase Semi production, so our initial goal is to produce 50,000 Semi trucks in North America by 2024," Musk announced on a conference call after his third-quarter earnings report. "We will expand to markets outside North America." Musk would not disclose the price of the car, but said the price was much higher than that of a passenger car.
