The company has been actively grabbing chip resources and speeding up the localization of chips to catch up with the progress of production and marketing.

In response to the question of "when will its Zhiji develop a power-changing model", SAIC said that Zhiji has not yet launched a power-changing model, and it will study the power-changing plan according to market conditions and user demand.

In addition, SAIC pointed out that in the face of the risk of energy shortage in European and German manufacturing industries, SAIC-Volkswagen has not shipped parts directly affected by the energy shortage, and the company has raised its attention to the continuous supply capacity of suppliers. The current supply of imported parts is mainly affected by the global chip shortage, the company has actively grabbed chip resources, increase inventory reserves, and strive to keep the risk under control.

CTOnews.com learned that data show that SAIC sold 517000 vehicles in September 2022, while SAIC sold a total of 3.77 million vehicles from January to September, up 4.2 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, SAIC sold 95000 new energy vehicles in September, up 48.5% from the same period last year. SAIC has sold 699000 new energy vehicles so far this year, up 45.9% from the same period last year.
