CTOnews.com With the launch of new iPad Pro, iPad and Apple TV this week, Apple's attention has now turned to the Mac series. MacRumors said Apple plans to launch new high-end MacBook Pro and Mac mini models equipped with M2 series chips in November.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said in this week's newsletter that macOS Ventura will be released on Monday, October 24, including support for the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. The new MacBook Pro will reportedly come with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, though he doesn't think the two laptops will change much in other ways.

As for the Mac mini, Gurman has previously said Apple is working on new models based on the M2 and M2 Pro chips. For now, it seems likely that the new Mac will be released directly on Apple's website in November in the form of a press release.

Gurman noted that Apple has released new Macs several times in November in recent years, including the first-generation 16-inch MacBook Pro in 2019 and three M1 Mac models in 2020.

CTOnews.com understands that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models currently equipped with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips were released in October 2021 and completely redesigned, such as "bangs," and added new features such as HDMI, MagSafe and SD card reader.

Last time around, Apple introduced the Mac mini base model with the M1 chip in November 2020, although the company is still selling more expensive Intel versions with Core i5 and Core i7 processors.

As for the Mac Pro, Gurman thinks the high-end tower won't arrive until 2023 and will feature a brand new Apple chip. He has previously said that the next Mac Pro will feature M2 Ultra and M2 Extreme chips, while the next MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro and 24-inch iMac are also expected to launch next year.
