CTOnews.com October 20 news, China Telecom Co., Ltd. today released the third quarter report of 2022.

Operating income in the third quarter was 117.624 billion yuan, up 7.9% from the same period last year, while operating income in the first three quarters was 357.843 billion yuan, up 9.6% from the same period last year.

In the third quarter, the net profit was 6.252 billion yuan, up 12% from the same period last year; in the first three quarters, the net profit was 24.543 billion yuan, up 5.2% from the same period last year.

In terms of mobile communications services, in the first three quarters of 2022, China Telecom's revenue from mobile communications services was 148.367 billion yuan, an increase of 5.6 percent over the same period last year, with a net increase of 17.46 million mobile users to about 390 million, and a net increase of 63.24 million users of 5G packages to about 251 million, with a penetration rate of 64.4 percent and an ARPU1 of 45.5 yuan for mobile users.

In terms of fixed network and smart family services, in the first three quarters of 2022, China Telecom's fixed network and smart home service income reached 89.433 billion yuan, an increase of 4.6% over the same period last year. The number of cable broadband users reached 179 million, and the income of smart families maintained rapid growth, driving the comprehensive broadband ARPU2 to 46.6 yuan.

CTOnews.com learned that China Mobile and China Unicom also released user data today. China Mobile 5G package subscribers totaled 557 million, and China Unicom 5G package subscribers exceeded 200 million.
