According to introduction, Indonesia Yawan High-speed Railway connects Jakarta, Indonesia's capital, and Bandung, the fourth largest city. It is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in June 2023. It is the first full-system, full-element and full-industry chain project of China's high-speed railway to land overseas.

Yawan High-speed Railway is a landmark project for China and Indonesia to jointly build "the belt and road initiative" and deepen practical cooperation. It is also the first time that China's high-speed railway has landed overseas in the whole system, all elements and the whole industrial chain.

CTOnews.com once reported that the box girder erection task of the whole line of Yawan High-speed Railway was successfully completed on the afternoon of October 16, and the track laying channel was fully opened, laying a solid foundation for the completion and opening to traffic in June 2023.

On September 1, local time, after 11 days of maritime transportation, China exported Indonesia's high-speed EMU and comprehensive inspection train for Yawan high-speed railway from Qingdao Port of China to Jakarta Port of Indonesia. This is the first high-speed train to arrive in Indonesia under the Yawan high-speed rail project.

The Yawan high-speed EMU and comprehensive inspection train are designed and manufactured by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd., one of the member units of the Yawan high-speed railway consortium, led by China Railway International Co., Ltd., which is the first high-speed train exported by China.

The train adopts Chinese standards and is tailor-made for Yawan High-speed Railway. The maximum operating speed is 350km/h. The train consists of 4 cars and 4 trailers. Relying on the advanced and mature technology of Fuxing China Standard EMU, it adapts to the local operating environment and line conditions of Indonesia and integrates Indonesian local culture for adaptive improvement.

The Yawan high-speed railway connects Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, with Bandung, a famous tourist city. It has a total length of 142 kilometers and a maximum design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The whole line adopts Chinese technology and Chinese standards. Upon completion, it will become the first high-speed railway in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
