CTOnews.com news on October 20, China Mobile issued the latest results announcement today, net profit in the first three quarters reached 98.5 billion yuan, up 13% over the same period last year; operating income was 723.5 billion yuan, up 11.5% over the same period last year; of this total, revenue from communications services was 620.1 billion yuan, up 8.3% from the same period last year; revenue from sales of products and other products was 103.4 billion yuan, up 36.4% from the same period last year

In addition, China Mobile's EBITDA in the first three quarters was 251.5 billion yuan, up 5.9% from a year earlier. As of the end of the third quarter (September 30), the number of mobile customers was 974 million, a net increase of 17.15 million, including 557 million customers for 5G packages. In the first three quarters of this year, the mobile ARPU was 50.70 yuan, an increase of 1.0%.

As of September 30, 2022, the total number of China Mobile cable broadband customers reached 265 million, with a net increase of 24.82 million in the first three quarters, of which household broadband customers reached 238 million, with a net increase of 19.66 million in the first three quarters. The cable broadband ARPU was 34.8 yuan, an increase of 0.2% over the same period last year, and the comprehensive ARPU of household customers was 41.1 yuan, an increase of 3.2% over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com has reported that China Mobile's 5G-related investment reached 58.7 billion yuan in the first half of 2022. So far, China Mobile has opened more than 1.1 million 5G base stations nationwide, accounting for more than 50% of the country's 5G base stations.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that by the end of August, the total number of 5G base stations had reached 2.102 million, accounting for 19.8 percent of the total number of mobile base stations, up 5.5 percent from the end of last year. Among them, 677000 new 5G base stations were built from January to August this year.
