CTOnews.com, October 20, according to a report in Taiwan's Economic Daily, Huang Zhaoying, global vice president and general manager of HTC, said yesterday that with the increasing improvement of technology and the emergence of more and more applications, the current number of hardware has reached 10 million, and the VR industry is expected to enter a period of golden growth in the next three years.

Huang Zhaoying pointed out that as the related application of VR is the key to entering the meta-universe, it is optimistic that as the VR industry enters the golden growth period, it will bring business opportunities to the meta-universe.

CTOnews.com has learned that a McKinsey report shows that global businesses and consumers could spend $5 trillion (about 33.75 trillion yuan) a year on metacosmos by 2030. By comparison, spending on artificial intelligence totaled $93 billion (about 627.75 billion yuan) last year.

In terms of related devices, HTC launched the HTC DESIRE 22 Pro meta-universe concept phone in June this year, and launched the VIVE Focus 3 "eyeball tracking kit" and "facial expression detection kit" in September this year. Recently, HTC Vive officials also warmed up the new VR Touxian, and a successor to Vive Flow is expected to come.

In addition, the Strategy Analytics report points out that with the growth of investment in metacosmos, the ownership of dedicated metacosmos devices (VR and AR Touch display) will surge. By 2024, the market stock of meta-cosmic devices will double from the current 50 million.
