CTOnews.com, October 19, Arm announced that it will reorganize its Internet of things (IoT) business into a separate line of business. After the separation of the automotive and Internet of things business, Arm will have four major lines of business, the other two are client business and infrastructure business.

CTOnews.com learned that after the termination of the acquisition with Nvidia, Softbank Corp. Group has started to promote the listing and financing of its semiconductor intellectual property provider Arm, their management has also been adjusted, CEO, CFO and the general legal adviser have all been replaced, and it is time to adjust the internal structure.

"We have made great strides in both the automotive and Internet of things markets, until now we are all in the same group," said Rene Hass, chief executive of ARM. "it is the right time to separate the two divisions because they are now large independent businesses, so moving forward, we will have four separate lines of business: cars, clients (consumer technology), infrastructure and the Internet of things."

For the automotive and Internet of things business, Dipti Vachani will continue to lead the automotive business as Senior Vice President (SVP) and General Manager (GM), while the Internet of things will become a separate line of business (LoB) now run by Paul Williamson (Paul Williamson), who will no longer be responsible for customer business running IoT LoB as SVP and GM.

According to reports, before leading the customer team, Williamson was responsible for security, Internet of things and wireless at Arm, and from the early Bluetooth division began to dabble in connecting devices to develop innovative products for the consumer, medical and industrial markets.

In addition, Mohamed Awad plays a key role in managing the Internet of things business. He will join the Executive Committee of ARM and lead the infrastructure team as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Infrastructure LoB.

Before focusing on the Internet of things and driving the launch of virtual hardware, Awad was part of the infrastructure leadership team responsible for promoting ARM's Neoverse product line.
