CTOnews.com, October 19 (Xinhua)-- at Foxconn yesterday, Hon Hai released a mass production version of Model C, as well as two new electric vehicles, the Model B cross-border recreation vehicle and the Model V all-terrain electric pickup truck, according to the Taiwan media central news agency.

At a press conference after the event, Hon Hai Chairman Liu Yangwei pointed out that two new electric cars and a mass production version of Model C would be put into production in Taiwan, Thailand and the United States. Among them, it will cooperate with Yulong Sanyi Factory in Taiwan; the annual production capacity of electric vehicles in Ohio in the United States can reach 50 to 600000; as for Thailand, it is expected to start production from 2023 to 2024 and reach an annual production capacity of 15 to 200000 vehicles by 2024. In addition, Hon Hai also held talks with Indonesian and Indian partners.

In terms of spare parts, Liu Yangwei said that he gave priority to the products of the members of the MIH Open Electric vehicle Alliance. The MIH Alliance will hold an exhibition day on November 8 and will launch a model plan for electric vehicles. Liu Yangwei hopes that Model B, Model V, and mass-produced Model C electric vehicles will be able to use components with more than 50% of MIH members.

In terms of mass production time, Liu Yangwei pointed out that the Model C mass production model is expected to be delivered by Nazhijie, a subsidiary of customer Yulong, next year; Model B is expected to produce a mass production in 2024, and it is expected that the investment model will be on display on October 18 next year.
