Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen OC_Formula for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, Oct. 19, Oracle announced Tuesday that it plans to deploy tens of thousands of Nvidia's top-level A100 and H100 computing GPU in its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The A100 and H100 GPU will be provided to Oracle's cloud customers for their AI workloads powered by Nvidia's AI software, and the terms of the deal remain confidential.

The new partnership between Nvidia and Oracle will give all enterprise customers access to AI training, computer vision, data processing, deep learning reasoning and simulation, without having to invest billions of dollars to deploy their data centers with Nvidia's expensive computing GPU. Oracle has provided OCI customers with access to high-performance computing instances and will now provide them with a variety of AI capabilities.

Oracle OCI's enterprise customers will be able to access all Nvidia's AI platforms, including the following:

AI Enterprise-an engine that can be used for AI model training, computational vision, conversational AI, data processing, recommendation systems, and simulation.

RAPIDS-- accelerates Apache Spark data processing on Apache Spark services that are fully managed by OCI data streams, including bare metal instances like BM.GPU.GM4.8 with A100 Tensor Core GPU.

Clara-Medical Imaging, Genomics, Natural language processing and Drug Discovery (coming soon).

CTOnews.com learned that Nvidia's A100 and H100 computing GPU are expensive, and even the previous generation of A100 computing GPU costs $10, 000 to $15000 (about 108000 yuan), depending on the configuration, and the next generation of H100 products will naturally be more expensive. So while Oracle is unlikely to buy Nvidia's calculated GPU at a retail price, the total price is certainly not low, and the deal between Nvidia and Oracle is expected to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
