Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens, soft media new friends 2010825, RTCs for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com October 19, Microsoft today released Windows 10 21H2 Build 19044.2192 (KB5018482) for the Windows 10 21H2 version of Release Preview Channel.

The update includes the following improvements.

Fixed a problem affecting distributed component object Model (DCOM) authentication hardening. The authentication level of all non-anonymous activation requests from the DCOM client is automatically raised to RPC_C_AUTHN_LEVEL_PKT_INTEGRITY. This occurs if the authentication level is lower than package integrity.

Fixed a DCOM issue affecting the remote procedure call service (rpcss.exe). If RPC_C_AUTHN_LEVEL_PKT_INTEGRITY is specified, the authentication level is raised to RPC_C_AUTHN_LEVEL_CONNECT instead of RPC_C_AUTHN_LEVEL_NONE.

Fixed a problem that caused the operating system upgrade to stop responding, and then it failed.

Fixed a problem affecting the Microsoft Azure Active Directory (AAD) application proxy connector. It cannot retrieve Kerberos tickets on behalf of the user. The error message is: "the specified handle is invalid (0x80090301)".

Fixed font issue that affected three Chinese characters. When these characters are formatted in bold, the width is incorrect.

Fixed a problem affecting Microsoft Direct3D 9 games. If the hardware does not have a native Direct3D 9 driver, the graphics hardware will stop working.

Fixed graphics problems with games using Microsoft D3D9 on some platforms.

Fixed an issue that affected Microsoft Edge in IE mode. The title of the pop-up window and label is wrong.

Fixed issues affecting Microsoft Edge IE mode. Prevents the user from opening the web page. This occurs when Windows Defender Application Guard (WDAG) is enabled and no network isolation policy is configured.

Fixed a problem that could cause the application to stop responding. This can happen when the input queue overflows.

Fixed issues affecting Microsoft and third-party input method editors (IME). CTOnews.com has learned that they stop working when the IME window is closed. This happens if IME uses the Windows text Services Framework (TSF) 1.0.
