CTOnews.com October 19, Microsoft announced the release of Windows 10 22H2 major version update, 22H2 will continue the recent trend of Windows 10 feature updates delivered in an optimized way using service technology.

Microsoft says the Windows 10 22H2 version will have a limited set of features focused on productivity and management. Microsoft will deliver 22H2 updates using service technologies, such as those used in the monthly update process, to meet customer needs based on feedback.

For consumer or business users running 20H2 or later devices, the 22H2 update will provide a quick installation experience, 18 months of service support for home and professional editions, and 30 months of service support for enterprise and educational editions.

CTOnews.com has learned that the Windows 10 22H2 update is available for devices running Windows 10 20H2 version or later, and from today you can choose to check for updates in Settings > updates and Security > Widows updates. Eligible devices can also choose to upgrade to Windows 11.

Microsoft said that Windows 10 21H1 will end service on December 13, 2022, and Microsoft will start pushing Windows 10 22H2 updates for these devices later this month.
