CTOnews.com, October 18, Microsoft announced a new productivity feature for users running the latest version of Windows 11 22H2, which allows users with Surface Pen with shortcut buttons to create quick notes in OneNote.

OneNote 2211 and later supports quick note-taking by pressing the button on Surface Pen. When called, the application displays a small window with a toolbar that allows the user to switch between different tools and inks. Microsoft says users can use the Quick Notes feature to create reminders, sketch concepts, comment screen screenshots or take notes.

CTOnews.com learned that the feature is being rolled out to Office Insiders users of Beta channels and requires a computer with Windows 11 22H2 (2022 Update). The feature is rolled out step by step, and users can also use it by pressing the Win+Alt+N shortcut key or clicking the OneNote icon in the notification area.
