CTOnews.com, October 18, the official release of iOS 16.0.3 last week, Apple has closed the iOS 16.0.2 authentication channel, which means that users can no longer downgrade the iPhone system to iOS 16.0.2. Currently, iOS 16.0.3 and iOS 16.1 beta versions are still available for verification of iOS 16.

Apple usually closes the old iOS version verification channel after a new system is launched to prevent users from downgrading to an outdated version of the system.

IOS 16.0.2, released on September 22, mainly provides bug fixes and security updates to address some issues affecting the iPhone 14 Pro model, including the vibration of the rear camera when shooting with some third-party applications and the black screen during device setup. IOS 16.0.2 also fixed a problem that caused some users to face too many copy and paste permission prompts.

CTOnews.com has learned that the official version of iOS 16.1 is expected to be released next week with iPadOS 16.1 and macOS Ventura.
