According to foreign media reports, in September this year, Hyundai Motor's all-electric vehicle sales reached 18842 units, an increase of 55% year-on-year, setting a new monthly record, more than 1000 more than the record set in May.

Hyundai Motor reported global vehicle sales of 355040 vehicles in September, up 24 percent from a year earlier. In the first nine months of the year, the company sold 2895128 vehicles, down 1.2 percent from a year earlier.

Hyundai Motor has seen Tesla's global success, and it plans to emulate Tesla in electric vehicles. The company has set itself an ambitious goal of selling 670,000 electric vehicles annually by 2025, including 560,000 battery-powered electric vehicles and 110,000 fuel-cell electric vehicles.

Hyundai aims to account for 30% of its global vehicle sales by 2030. By 2040, this proportion is expected to increase to 80 per cent.

In July, foreign media reported that Hyundai was considering using Ningde-era batteries in all its models. Sources said Hyundai and Ningde had even agreed on the size and specifications of lithium iron phosphate batteries to be used, but the two sides failed to reach an agreement because of differences in unit price.
