According to the report, Xinjiang has nearly 12 5G base stations per 10,000 people, and 5G network coverage has been achieved in all prefecture-level cities, county towns, and 90.53% of townships and townships. Following the historic realization of "village-to-village broadband access" in administrative villages in Xinjiang, the 5G network has further deepened coverage to counties and townships.

Data show that the number of 5G mobile phone users in Xinjiang has increased to 7.779 million, accounting for 26.2% of the total number of mobile phone users. The number of 5G mobile phone terminal connections has reached 11.277 million, accounting for 38.0% of the total number of mobile phone users.

CTOnews.com learned that data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed that by the end of August, the total number of 5G base stations in China had reached 2.102 million, accounting for 19.8% of the total number of mobile base stations. Among them, 677000 5G base stations were built from January to August.

In addition, by the end of August, the total number of mobile phone users in China's three basic telecommunications enterprises reached 1.678 billion. Among them, 5G mobile phone users reached 492 million, accounting for 29.4% of mobile phone users.
