CTOnews.com October 16, 2016 For those who expected a new Windows 11 preview this week, it may be disappointing. Microsoft has confirmed that it won't be pushing a preview of the new Windows 11 Dev this week, and the company is busy "chasing down" bugs in the upcoming Dev Channel release.

Microsoft engineering team Jason Howard recently pointed out that due to a nasty Bug, there will be no new release this week. The Windows Insider account confirmed the news today.

As for what specific Bug, Microsoft did not disclose. CTOnews.com has learned that Microsoft recently unexpectedly showed off a resizable Start menu, but isn't sure if it'll roll out soon.

Last week, Microsoft released Windows 11 Preview Build 25217, adding support for third-party widgets. Developers can now start developing and testing widgets for their third-party applications, and third-party widgets can be added to the widget palette. The Chinese Input Method Editor (IME) brings some typing improvements. Added integrated suggestion function. The Microsoft Store app has also been updated to make it clearer on the game page whether the game is playable via Game Pass.
