On Oct. 16, Apple contractor Nylah Boone became an Internet sensation after showing her first day on the job in a TikTok video, with more than 400,000 views on the video. However, just a month later, Boone found that he had lost his job as a result.

Boone, the creator of TikTok, often intersperses his daily content with other irrelevant videos, such as travel videos and fan Q & A content. In April, while working as a contractor at Apple, Boone released a video of his first day at the Apple office.

In the video, Boone shows her morning activities and commutes, clips of the Apple Building, bakery in the office and lunch with colleagues. The video, titled "A day for a black girl who works in the technology industry," was quickly viewed more than 400,000 times, with hundreds of comments asking Boone for career advice and asking about her work and daily life.

However, in May this year, Boone accidentally lost her job at Apple because her contract was not renewed. She also made a video to explain why she suddenly lost her job as a project manager. So far, a video recording her unemployment has garnered about 150,000 views.

Apple has strict confidentiality agreements to prevent employees from disclosing or releasing confidential information about the company. These agreements have a wide range of confidentiality, and shooting videos in the office may also violate it. However, as more and more "TikTok generation" enter the work of technology giants, this issue is becoming more and more concerned.

Employees of these technology companies usually get millions of hits on various office videos, but the confusion caused by filming during work often leads to warnings and even dismissal from the human resources department. The creators say these companies are not ready to deal with these online celebrity employees. At the same time, companies are basically getting free publicity, but they have to take some risks because some secrets are inadvertently leaked.

YouTube online celebrity Chloe Shih, who has more than 51000 followers, said: "many of my creative friends in the technology industry and I have been warned in our respective companies. Creators must strike a balance between building their own brand and insisting on free expression with the demands of employers, which limit the amount of content that can be shared, whether through clear policies or through implicit threats."

In addition to worrying about the risk of intentionally or unintentionally disclosing unpublished products, companies are also concerned about the potential security implications of disclosing security checkpoints, badge formats, and so on. Many creators are very careful about what they do and don't do, and many things are not shown in the video, which means it is no longer a real life video.

This is not the first time Apple employees have run into trouble shooting work-related TikTok videos. A few months ago, Apple engineer Paris Campbell (Paris Campbell) was threatened to lose her job after posting a video for a user who had been blackmailed for losing her iPhone. The video was filmed at home, but she was told that simply claiming to be an Apple employee was a violation of policy.

Not long ago, Tony Blevins, Apple's vice president of procurement, was fired for a slip of the tongue after being interviewed by an online celebrity on Tiktok.
