In a recent post on Reddit, a user named csakif25__ shared a screenshot of a menu from PS4, showing the player trying to create a new group with their friends, but the PS4 system mentioned that all selected users were already in a group, with the date listed on the right saying January 1, 1970. It is important to know that the original PlayStation was not released in Japan until 1994, so this date is 24 years before the launch of PS1.

The player joked in the title of the post that he remembered playing Grand Theft Auto with his friends in 1970. Another netizen said that it feels like "GTA5" was launched 52 years ago, because it has been a long time since the game was released.

This kind of bug may be a common phenomenon because another player mentioned that the same thing happened on his PS4. Other players said that a trophy won in Grand Theft Auto 4 showed January 1, 1970 as the unlocking date.

CTOnews.com learned that the date in the picture is not random, it is of great significance in the computer world, the time point of 00:00:00 UTC on January 1, 1970 is called the Unix era, and Unix time represents the number of seconds that have passed since then. It seems that the PS4 system cannot get the correct time and date, so the default is January 1, 1970.
