CTOnews.com, Oct. 14, many Porsche Taycan owners may be happy to hear the news, as Porsche is bringing "more efficient software" to their cars through OTA upgrades, thus making the battery life longer.

In line with previous intelligence, the annual update of the 2023 Porsche Taycan focuses on software improvements, some of which are related to the car's entertainment system, but there are also some improvements in powertrain and thermal management systems, so battery life has also been improved.

The good news is that instead of limiting it to 2023 models, Porsche has chosen to push these software updates OTA directly to all Taycan electric vehicles produced in the past three years.

One of the biggest improvements in battery life is the Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo, which now has an amazing 14% increase in EPA range on a single charge from 204mph to 233mph through software updates alone.

With the exception of the Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo, the range of most other models has increased by between 3 and 7 per cent, but some models have increased by more than 10 per cent.

In addition to improving efficiency, the OTA software update will also bring faster charging speed for Taycan electric vehicles.
