Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen StarKWL for clue delivery! CTOnews.com October 14 news, with the release of Google Pixel 7 series, users found that Google Pixel 7 series seems to be the first Android smartphone that only supports 64-bit applications.

Blogger @MishaalRahman said to confirm with those who own the Pixel 7 Pro that the Pixel 7 series does only support running 64-bit apps, which means that 32-bit apps that have not been updated will not be available, such as Flappy Bird.

When trying to install an Android app that only supports 32 bits on the Pixel 7, an error message appears.

@MishaalRahman also pointed out that although Android 13 on Pixel 7 phones does not allow 32-bit apps to run, internally, the operating system still uses some 32-bit libraries, suggesting that Google is deliberately preventing 32-bit apps from running.

CTOnews.com understands that most users won't be aware of this because most apps already support 64-bit, and since August 2019, all apps on Google Play Store must have 64-bit support, and last year it stopped offering 32-bit apps without any 64-bit support.
