CTOnews.com October 13, AMD released its latest chipset driver, version 4.09.23.507. The new driver adds additional support for AM5 slot motherboards.

If you buy the latest X670E, X670 or one of the upcoming B650 or B650E motherboards, the new chipset driver can improve compatibility or bring more features.

In addition, the new driver also supports the authentication of SHA256 hash algorithm, which makes it more secure than traditional hash algorithm. The driver also brings improved USB4 debugging capabilities through DFX support, as well as improvements in AMD Sensor Fusion Hub (SFH).

Known issues:

In some cases, the custom installation cannot be upgraded to the latest driver.

You may see text alignment problems in Russian.

After the installation is complete, you need to manually restart the system on a non-English operating system.

The uninstall summary log may incorrectly display the uninstall status as a failure on a non-English operating system.
