Microsoft has been improving the performance of C++ development. Visual Studio indexes and colors C++ faster than ever before.

Microsoft Dev Box is now in preview

Microsoft Dev Box, launched at Microsoft Build 2022, gives developers self-service access to high-performance, cloud-based workstations that are pre-configured and ready to code.

Visual Studio images for Microsoft Dev Box are now universally available on Azure Marketplace. Microsoft hopes that these off-the-shelf images will help developers create Dev Boxes using existing Visual Studio features and tools.

Connecting job seekers to job opportunities

Microsoft is creating new employability programs that will seek to connect graduating students, career changers, and job changers to employment opportunities within Microsoft's partner and customer ecosystem.

Job seekers will have the opportunity to hone their skills with training learned through Microsoft Learn, acquire skills in school through the Microsoft Learn for Educators program, or learn new tools and competencies with instructor-led training sessions offered by Microsoft Learning Partners.
