According to the ranking of SSD module factory in 2021, the top three market share of shipments are still Kingston, ADATA and Kimtigo. The top three only Kingston city accounted for a slight decline, due to the huge production demand, it is difficult to meet its order delivery when the wafer is tight, so shipments are affected.

The report points out that the biggest change is the sharp rise in the ranking of Transcend to sixth place from 10th in 2020, as well as new entrants to the list, Powev and Gigabyte.

CTOnews.com learned that TrendForce Jibang Consulting said that the original idea gained the support of the SSD master IC factory through its long-term brand advantage, resulting in a substantial increase in shipments. In particular, SSD products are specially designed to meet the upgrading needs of Apple laptops. With the increase in the market share of Apple pens, which leads to an increase in demand for products related to ideas, the market share of SSD shipments rose to 5% in 2021. Jiahe Jinwei benefited from the long-term operation of the high-end game market, coupled with diversified product solutions, as high-end performance and game-related product demand maintained strong growth momentum, squeezed into the top 10. Gigabyte also benefited from the company's efforts to expand the supply of game-related components, driving SSD shipments in its motherboard products.

It should be noted that the above global SSD ranking is based on the module factory's own brand shipments in the channel market as the calculation standard, the original part of NAND Flash is not included. The original supply of NAND Flash accounts for about 42% of the overall channel market, and module factory shipments account for about 58%.

In addition, TrendForce Jibang Consulting pointed out in the report that the proportion of Chinese mainland products in the SSD supply chain is increasing. Especially in the master IC technology, many manufacturers have gradually stepped into the PCIe master IC research and development, and even saw that some module factories have cooperated with Chinese mainland enterprise server to develop enterprise SSD.
