CTOnews.com October 13 news, today, Strategy Analytics released a report predicting that electric vehicle production will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 26% from 2021 to 2026, and shipments will be close to 54.1 million vehicles by 2029.

This, in turn, will drive demand for xEV powertrain sensors to grow by 30 per cent CAAGR to $1.7 billion (about 12.189 billion yuan) by 2029, the report said.

CTOnews.com learned that Strategy Analytics said that pure electric vehicles will become the largest market for sensor battery management systems, DC / DC converters, main traction inverters, motors, vehicle chargers and other systems.

In addition, by 2029, sensor demand for pure electric vehicles will grow by 44 per cent of CAAGR, accounting for 68 per cent of all sensor market opportunities. Among them, motors account for more than 51% of the total demand for sensors; main inverters are the second largest market, followed by DC / DC converters and battery monitoring systems.
