CTOnews.com, October 13. Back in April 2021, Microsoft Edge browser was developing a new feature called Workspaces (Workspace). This feature allows the user to rename the window and save all tabs opened on it for later use. This may sound like the concept of a collection, but Workspaces opens in its own separate window every time, so users always have a specific window to focus on a task. Workspaces also persists in different browsing sessions, and users can close the window and reopen Workspaces later.

Today, Microsoft is preparing to officially release Edge Workspaces.

At the Ignite 2022 conference, Microsoft encouraged IT administrators and organizations to use Workspaces through Edge Enterprise Edition. The key usefulness emphasized by Microsoft is to improve the onboarding experience. Instead of burdening new employees with too many files and URL URLs, use Edge Workspaces links to include all the information they need in a separate tag. These tags will also be updated in real time for the entire team that is shared with them. Interested users can register for Edge Workspaces through this link.

CTOnews.com learned that Microsoft also reminded IT professionals that some of Edge's security features are now generally available. This includes the enhanced security model that was offered to consumers a few months ago and can be used as an option for businesses. The other is built-in protection to prevent typosquatting (URL hijacking).

Finally, in terms of accessibility, Microsoft Edge brings real-time subtitles, instant answers, and improved narrators for a better navigation experience, while the page colors used to manage readability and contrast are previewed.
