At the press conference, Tang Wenkan, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Economic Information Commission, revealed that by 2025, the annual output of new energy vehicles in Shanghai is expected to exceed 1.2 million, and the output value of new energy vehicles will exceed 350 billion yuan, accounting for more than 35 percent of the output value of the city's automobile manufacturing industry.

Tang Wenkan revealed that Shanghai will strengthen the promotion and application of new energy vehicles. In 2025, pure electric vehicles account for more than 50% of new vehicles purchased by individuals, and new energy sources such as buses and cruise taxis account for more than 80%. We will promote the demonstration application of hydrogen fuel cells in areas such as public transportation and sanitation, and strive to reach 10,000 vehicles in 2025.

Tang Wenkan revealed that Shanghai will speed up the development of intelligent Internet-connected automobile terminals, strive to create more than three brands with Shanghai logo by 2025, and create more than 10 popular style products with an output value of 500 billion yuan. With auxiliary self-driving function (L3) cars account for more than 70% of new car production; with advanced self-driving technology (L4) in logistics and transportation, sanitation, passenger transport and other applications.

Tang Wenkan revealed that 760000 charging piles and 300 replacement power stations will be completed in 2025, with a vehicle-to-pile ratio of no more than 2 to 1. The moderately advanced layout of hydrogenation stations will enable more than 70 hydrogenation stations of various types to be built and put into use, thus achieving full coverage of key application areas.

Tang Wenkan revealed that Shanghai will introduce a series of policies, such as special fund management measures for fuel cell vehicles, special planning for hydrogen filling stations, and recycling of power batteries, to support the innovation and development of the new energy vehicle industry, continue to do a good job in the promotion and application of new energy vehicles, and introduce special policies to encourage the purchase and use of new energy vehicles.

Tang Wenkan revealed that at present, Shanghai has opened 1299 km of intelligent network car test roads; 110km of vehicle-road coordination roads have been completed, and 280km will be added in the near future. and in Jiading Anting, Lingang production-city fusion area, Pudong Jinqiao and other key areas to achieve a backbone road vehicle-road coordination rate of up to 100%, to create more than 10 "car, road, network, cloud" collaborative application scenarios, such as unmanned public transportation and unmanned distribution.
