CTOnews.com October 13, Microsoft recently released Windows 11 22H2 Build 22621.675 (KB5019509) to the Release Preview Channel. The new version of Build brings tabbed file explorer, taskbar overflow menus, and other new features for all Release preview users. These Build are in preparation for the Windows 11 2022 Moment 1 update and are expected to be released soon. Now there is potential evidence that Build 22621.675 is actually a candidate for updated universal availability (GA) of Moment 1.

Twitter users and Windows enthusiasts PhantomOcean3 have found some new content, suggesting that the new preview version of Release may be an update to Moment 1.

ID "39145991", which enables the Moment 1 feature, is set to 15, which means it cannot be changed using ViveTool software. CTOnews.com has learned that ViveTool is used to enable and disable the hidden Windows feature. As a result, these features will always be enabled, which may indicate that Build 22621.675 (KB5019509) is indeed an Moment 1 update.

This means that Windows 11 22H2 Moment 1 updates are coming and may even match Windows 10 22H2 GA, both of which are expected to be released in October.

References for future Moment 2 updates are also beginning to emerge and are expected to be available to the public after 2023.
