After weeks of testing, Samsung revealed some news about the new system during the SDC22 (Samsung developer Conference), confirming that the system is about to leave the testing phase and be launched to a wide range of users.

The new One UI 5.0 update will bring a variety of new features and changes, including, but not limited to: more lock screen customization, expanded color palettes, improved permission notification customization options, slightly redesigned quick switching areas, better animation, Stacked Widgets, and individual contact call background effects.

CTOnews.com has learned that Samsung has released four One UI 5.0beta updates for the Galaxy S22 series in some markets, it is not clear whether the fourth beta will be the last, and the exact date when the update will leave the testing phase is still unknown. However, at the SDC conference, Samsung confirmed that the One UI 5.0 update plans to leave the beta phase later this month to officially launch the Galaxy S22. It's almost mid-October, so you don't have to wait much longer, and it's speculated that Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Z Fold4, and Galaxy Z Flip4 will also receive One UI 5.0 updates this year.
