The satellite entered the scheduled orbit smoothly and the launch mission was a complete success.

5m S-SAR 01 satellite mainly provides domestic data guarantee for emergency management and ecological environment main business, at the same time, it serves natural resources, water conservancy, agriculture and rural areas, forestry and grassland, earthquake and other industries.

According to the Aerospace Science and Technology Group, Environmental disaster reduction No. 2 05 is a remote sensing business satellite in the National Civil Space Infrastructure medium-and long-term Development Plan (2015-2025), with the Ministry of Emergency Management and the Ministry of Ecological Environment as the lead users. The satellite is used to obtain 5m S-band radar image data around the world to realize the domestic support of SAR remote sensing data in the main business of emergency disaster reduction and disaster relief and environmental protection. The satellite platform adopts the mature CAST2000 satellite common platform, and the payload includes S-band SAR subsystem and emergency data processing subsystem and other equipment. The core performance indexes such as SAR load working bandwidth, system noise equivalent backscattering coefficient and ambiguity under nominal orbit of Environmental disaster reduction No. 05 satellite have been greatly improved, and the data transmission rate, on-board retention and image positioning accuracy have been further optimized. In the follow-up, 05 Satellite and 06 Satellite, which is scheduled to be launched next year, will greatly improve the time resolution, further meet the country's demand for continuous supply of resolution SAR data in related fields, and contribute its own efforts to national economic construction.
