CTOnews.com, Oct. 13, Apple's AirPods Pro 2 wireless headset has received a lot of positive reviews from users since its launch last month, but there have also been some early Bug. Many AirPods Pro 2 users now complain about annoying audio drift on Reddit and other online forums, even when Apple's features such as spatial audio and dynamic head tracking are disabled.

Audio drift is a problem with the headset, where the audio moves back and forth between the earplugs and is out of sync with the video (the audio does not match the mouth shape of the person speaking in the video).

Affected AirPods Pro 2 users said they were experiencing a combination of audio drift and transfer, as well as random increases or decreases in volume.

Another AirPods Pro 2 user paid special attention to the most common problems in YouTube video applications. "using spatial audio and watching YouTube, for almost all videos, after the ad is played, the AirPods will be out of sync with each other. I feel that the voice of the person in the video is near the ear, not in the middle of the head. The only way to solve this problem is to turn off and turn on spatial audio, but this is annoying."

CTOnews.com has learned that some users have returned AirPods Pro 2, but the new hardware has the same problem.

Another AirPods Pro 2 user speculated that this could be a problem with noise reduction or adaptive penetration mode. "this can lead to strange movements of the sound field and random volume changes in certain frequency ranges. Some tracks are much more affected than others and seem to be somewhat dependent on external conditions."

Notably, these users said they disabled Apple Space Audio and dynamic head tracking. Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking is designed to follow the head as the user moves, creating the illusion that music or video audio is always in the center and "from around you".

Apple has not acknowledged the audio driver problem that affects AirPods Pro 2 users, and it is not clear whether it is a software or hardware defect.
