CTOnews.com, October 12 (Xinhua)-- the first two crew members of the SpaceX starship / starship's second commercial flight around the moon have now been identified as Dennis Tito, a wealthy American businessman, and his wife Akiko.

CTOnews.com learned that Dennis became the first space tourist in human history to visit the International Space Station commercially in 2001, spending $20 million and this time spending a lot of money (unknown) on two more tickets to the moon.

If all goes well, the flight will be his second space trip since 2001, and Akiko will be one of the first women to fly around the moon in a starship.

In an interview with Ars Technica, Dennis talked about his idea of flying to the moon with Akiko. "We looked at each other and immediately understood," he said.

In 2021, 20 years after Dennis completed his first space flight, he came up with the idea during a visit to SpaceX headquarters in California, and the two men signed a contract directly with SpaceX that summer and have successfully passed physical and psychological tests.

Under the current plan, SpaceX will send him into space with 10 other passengers via a starship for a week-long space trip that will take them to orbit 25 miles (40 kilometers) above the moon's surface.

According to reports, the launch is expected to take place later this year, after Japanese billionaire Tomoshi Maazawa booked another lunar flight called # dearMoon in 2018.

Under this plan, Dennis could become the oldest man to go into space, let alone fly to the moon. The 82-year-old has surpassed the current record holder, the late astronaut Senator John Glenn.

It is worth mentioning that last October, star trek actor William Suttner (William Shatner) was launched at the age of 90 on Blue Origin's New Sheppard, but New Sheppard didn't actually go into orbit, just stayed in outer space for a few minutes.

On the question of time, Dennis said: "I personally think that as long as we are healthy, we are willing to wait forever."We can't force a timetable to make arrangements, we will always come when we should."
