South Korean e-sports club giant Gen.G will form Arena of Valor team to participate in the 2022 Arena of Valor World Champions League, competing with other teams from all over the world for the place in the World Championship.

On October 12, Gen.G formally reached a cooperation agreement with Tencent Timi e-sports and became a partner with Tencent Timi e-sports, and since then officially entered the international track of Arena of Valor (Honor of Kings) to form the Gen.G Arena of Valor team and participate in the Arena of Valor World Champions Cup in 2022.

CTOnews.com learned that Gen.G, founded in 2017, is e-sports, which has and operates top teams in China, South Korea and the United States, and ranks sixth in Forbes' annual ranking of the most valuable e-sports Club in the world. Gen.G has so far won seven world championships, including the Seoul Dynasty, a member of the Vanguard Alliance, League of Legends's world champion team in LCK, the top all-female Fortnite team, PUBG, Valorant and the historic NBA 2K League team in Shanghai.

It is understood that the "Arena of Valor" World Championship will officially kick off at the end of November, with a total of 16 participants worldwide. Among them, the KPL Division has a total of 8 places, and there are two places for direct promotion, which have been identified as Chongqing Wolf and Wuhan eStarPro, and the remaining six places will be decided through the competition.

In addition to the domestic KPL division, foreign countries are divided into regional trials and wild card competitions. Four places were decided in the regional trials in Brazil, Turkey, Mexico, the Middle East and North Africa. The wild card competition will be selected by people from all over the country, and four places will be decided. It is worth mentioning that Gen.G needs to qualify in this way.
