Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
The shooting subjects of the star category can be roughly divided into deep space photography and star field photography. The common themes of star field photography are conventional stars, galaxies and star orbits.
Among them, the simplest kind of star orbit photography, it does not require high shooting environment and post-processing, so it is very easy to learn.
1. For conventional starry photography of the environment, we first have to go to a place with little light pollution, which generally needs to be tens of kilometers away from big cities. And star orbit photography can be taken in the city. In the environment where the light damage is small, the star orbits are dense, and in the areas with large light damage, the star orbits are sparse. Even in the city, you can also shoot, try to avoid a strong light source, do not face the direction of the light source.
Sometimes when I look at a single photo, I think it's over, but when I deal with it in the later stage, there can really be a star orbit. Because one star is extended into one orbit, and two stars are two, even if there are only five or six stars in the picture, the orbit can appear. Beijing is developed enough, but it has long been popular to shoot star orbits next to the Imperial Palace. There are too many people to go there too late to find a place.
two。 There is no exact value for exposure, according to a principle: if the photo is only exposed, increase the exposure as much as possible (you can capture more stars). The star can move, and when it moves, the exposure of the shutter cannot be accumulated. So when we increase the exposure, we give priority to increasing the aperture, sensitivity, and then the shutter. However, it is not possible to increase the sensitivity indefinitely, which will reduce the picture quality.
If you are in a city, you can refer to such parameters, f5.6 or above, iso400~2000, shutter 5'20 seconds or so. It would be fine if it had this effect.
3. In focus, don't make the stars empty. It is popular on the Internet to "twist the focus ring to infinity and turn it back a little bit", which is not reliable. You first switch the focus to MF, then find a very bright star, then zoom in, then rotate the focus ring, and the star becomes a solid dot.
Someone asked, if I only focus on the stars, will the landscape vanish? In fact, do not worry at all, you focus on the stars (close to infinity), at this time the foreground depth is very large, generally from the camera 1 meter away from the landscape, are very clear.
4. The shooting direction has been adjusted for exposure and focus, so let's start shooting. Let's determine the direction before we shoot. The earth rotates, and the current Polaris is very close to the north, it is almost on the extension of the earth's rotation axis, and you will see that all the stars revolve around the North Pole. Facing the north pole star, the orbit is a circle. Facing due south, it is an arc. Facing east and west, there is a vertical line or diagonal line.
5. There is no objection to the shooting time when the stars turn around every 24 hours, that is, 360 degrees. Knowing the degree of rotation of the star and the distance of the star from the center of the circle, you can calculate how long the orbit is. If you can't imagine it, find a piece of paper to draw a picture. In fact, you don't have to shoot for 24 hours to see a circle, because there are so many stars, each star has a section, which adds up to a round appearance. (it's impossible to shoot for 24 hours, and you can't get it at dawn.)
I took this picture casually with my mobile phone, facing the northeast for 15 minutes.
If you are in a city, the shutter can only be opened for 10 seconds at most, and then it will be overexposed. Then it takes 60 seconds to take 6 pictures and 10 minutes to take 60 pictures. If you are in the wild and the shutter is open for 30 seconds, then taking 60 shots is 1800 seconds, a full half an hour.
6. Post-processing opens ps, select File-script-load the file on the stack, and select all the photos taken. So each photo is a layer. Then select all layers, right-click, convert to smart objects, and then become a layer. Then select layer-Smart object-Stack Mode-maximum. The star orbit will appear, and then adjust the color, exposure, sharpening, on it.
There is no need to align the starry sky, because we are taking pictures of starry orbits. There is no need to reduce noise, it has already been reduced at the time of stack. )
