Yesterday, Lenovo Group's own R & D and manufacturing base Hefei Lianbao Technology announced the release of autonomous driving domain controller product EA-R600.

According to Lianbao Technology, with the continuous evolution of vehicle automation and intelligence, the traditional distributed ECU architecture is evolving to a centralized architecture, which is gradually replaced by centralized, powerful and more integrated domain controllers. As the brain of intelligent driving, autopilot domain controller has multi-fusion ability to perceive and make decisions. In 2022, the development of AI technology has also pushed autopilot technology to a new stage. Based on this, Lianbao Technology actively lays out the AMR (Autonomous driving Robot) track, focusing on the edge AI products suitable for self-driving and autonomous driving scenarios, and has recently officially released the ultra-high computing power AMR autonomous driving domain controller product: EA-R600, which is committed to promoting the rapid development of China's self-driving industry to intelligence.

According to reports, EA-R600 embedded double NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin core module, through the board-end high-speed PCIE bus for data transmission, the whole machine can provide up to 550TOPS edge computing power, two computing units can work independently or cooperatively, thus ensuring real-time and efficient processing performance, with multi-sensor fusion, perception, planning, prediction, decision-making and other computing capabilities.

In addition, Lianbao Technology said that through the EA-R600 hardware production, the chip scheme, the middle tier and the independent driving software system of the car factory are efficiently integrated, which can fully meet the needs of autonomous driving scenarios such as sanitation, distribution, inspection, logistics sorting, freight and human transportation, whether in open areas such as trunk roads, short-and medium-distance distribution or closed areas such as mining areas, ports and parks. EA-R600 products and their supporting programs ensure safer, more efficient and more agile services.

CTOnews.com learned that Lenovo officially said it had set up a car computing laboratory, focusing on the development and application of core technologies related to intelligent cockpits, self-driving and central computing platforms.
