CTOnews.com understands that the Yuan PLUS released this time is BYD's first A-class tide SUV based on e-platform 3.0. With the support of e-platform 3.0 technology and blade battery, Yuan PLUS NEDC has a maximum endurance of 480km.

BYD said that as early as 2009, BYD began to lay out the Lao market. In October 2019, BYD and MOK officially opened stores and began selling pure electric vehicles such as Yuan EV and Tang EV, becoming the first new energy vehicle brand to bring electric vehicles to Laos.

According to introduction, in July 2021,28 BYD new energy vehicles were officially shipped to the low-carbon demonstration area of Saiserta, Vientiane City, Laos, including 12 C8 pure electric buses, 8 T5D pure electric trucks and 8 Yuan EV. In December 2021, BYD delivered the first Han EV to the Lao Prime Minister's Office.

Data show that BYD delivered 360 electric vehicles to Laos from January to September 2022. Up to now, BYD has more than 2000 cars in Laos market, and BYD ranks first in pure electric market share in Laos.

In addition, BYD pointed out that the Lao government has set new energy vehicle development targets to accelerate energy transformation and upgrading. It is estimated that by 2025, the penetration rate of Laos new energy vehicle market will reach 15% and by 2030, it will exceed 50%.
